Bishkek International Marathon 2018

1. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

• Presentation of the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic – Bishkek, as a modern city, whose infrastructure allows to host mass sports events;
• Propagation of a healthy lifestyle, familiarizing the population with regular physical training and sports;
• Development of international friendly sports relations and tourism, identification of the strongest marathon runners in Kyrgyzstan;
• Attraction of sportsmen and tourists from near and far foreign countries;

3. OFFICIAL COMPETITION

Place and time:

Bishkek International Half Marathon 2018 will be held on Sunday 23 сентября September 2018г ., Bishkek city, Kyrgyz Republic.

Start – finish of the competition

FOC Gazprom, on the street Жайыл Батыра Zhayyl Batyr ( Southern Highway)

Start time : 9:00 hours.

Distances: 21km 097 м , 10 000 м и 3000 м 097 m , 10 000 m and 3000 m

The age of participants is calculated in the number of full years as of the day of the competition – September 23, 2018. Each participant can take part in the race only in one distance.

Age categories of distances half marathon (21km 97m) are divided into: absolute credit (18 years and older), 35-44 years, 45-54 years, 55-64 years, 65 years and older .

Age categories of the distance of 10000 m are divided into: absolute credit (14 years and older), 35-44 years, 45-54 years, 55-64 years, 65 years and older

Age categories are awarded separately with memorable prizes and special medals.

At distances of 21 km 097 m and 10,000 m there is a category of PWD, with a separate credit regardless of age, but with a division into categories of men and women . Participants registered as PWD do not take part in the absolute classification and age categories. Participants in PWD categories are eligible to invite of guides, if necessary. At the same time, the guides do not participate in the competitions, but they have the right to receive the participant’s package and the medal for the finish.

4.  FINANCING

“Directorate of the International Marathon of Kyrgyzstan” takes full expenditure with funds provided by sponsors and partners for the organization and holding of the Bishkek International Marathon 2018, as well as through registration fees.

5. CONDITIONS OF ADMITTANCE OF PARTICIPANTS

All costs associated with participating in competitions (travel, food, accommodation, insurance fee) are at the cost of sending organizations or by the participants themselves.

Registration of participants on September 21 and 22, 2018 in the SEC “Bishkek Park” will be made only by the preliminary applications and payment.

6. TERMS OF ADMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Individuals and organizations registered in the specified period can take part in the race, completing the participant’s form and paying the registration fee, in accordance with the following conditions. Each participant, with the exception of participants at a distance of 3000 meters, is obliged to provide a medical clearance (reference) to participate in the competition, which was issued on or after September 23, 2017year.

17th September 2018, the list of participants will be closed and sent to the secretariat for processing by the panel of judges. From September 17, 2018 to make changes to the list of participants, it will be impossible to submit a new application.

Under no circumstances will the registration fee be returned or transferred.

Change of distance is allowed only until September 17,2018 inclusive, and only because of injuries, which must be confirmed by the relevant medical report (certificate).

7. FEE FOR TAKING PART IN COMPETITION AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

8. PROCEDURE FOR RECEPTION OF APPLICATIONS AND RECEIVING PACKAGE OF THE PARTICIPANT

Applications for participation in the Bishkek International Half Marathon 2018 are accepted by the Directorate only on the established form. The application can be issued on the site runthesilkroad.com or at the office of the Directorate from July 1 to 17 September 2018

Starting number, according to the type of sports program;

Commemorative attributes – T-shirt.

Information for participants

Each finished competitor receives a medal for the finish.

To receive a participant package, you must personally  to arrive at the registration of participants on September 21 and 22, 2018, present an identity document and a medical certificate issued no earlier than September 22, 2017, indicating the admission to the passage of the distance that he chose or the tolerance to a greater distance .

9. REGISTRATION OF RESULTS

The fixing of the results of participants in official competitions is carried out with the help of stopwatches and / or with an electronic timekeeping system.

10. PROTESTS

Protests are accepted by the panel of judges under the Rules of the IAAF. All protests must be in writing form. When making a written protest, within 30 minutes after announcing the preliminary results, the panel of judges may consider the protest. The protesting party makes an amount of 5000 KGS to the panel of judges. If the protest is confirmed, this fake rolex amount will be returned to the protesting party. If the protest is not confirmed, the amount paid will not be refunded. The panel of judges will work during the competition until the end of the event.

PRIZE FUND – 504 000 KGS

The track of official competitions at all distances is certified by FA KR (Federation of Athletics of Kyrgyz Republic)

DISTANCE: 21km 97.5m by categories of men and women prize fund – 440 000 KGS

DISTANCE: 10,000 m in categories of men and women prize fund – 64,000 KGS

Members of the competition at a distance of 3,000 m receive a participant package, a medal for the finish and a certificate with a personal result. Determination of winners and account age and other categories at this distance is not provided.
